Bad week at work

December 10th, 2006 at 04:48 pm

Well I've not written for ages, I've been getting grief at work. Although since maternity leave I cut down to part time working, they still expect a full time amount of work out of me. It's getting me down so much now. I didn't hardly sleep last night with worrying about it. Not only that, but we have lots more staff joined whilst I was off work, and no one has introducted me to them, told me what they do or anything. They come in my office which I share with two other employees, (who have only been there less than 1/2 the time I have) and chat away to them like I am invisible. My confidence is at rock bottom.

To top it all, I am still having pain where my gallbladder was (had it taken out in August). This is worrying me the most. Does anyone have any knowledge of this? You guys always seem to help me with advice. (Like when my baby was in hospital).

Sorry the above wasn't financy stuff. I am kicking around the idea of jacking my job in, hubby wants to to. But how would we manage? times would be so lean. Oh well....

Hey, its your blog...you can write about whatever you want!

I know some residual pain after a major surgery is normal..but if you're at all concerned, you should check with your doctor.

Sorry to hear about the situation at work. Apparently they got to know each other while you were gone....Is it possible they are misinterpreting your shyness for unfriendliness?? I have worked with people before who were very shy but were mistaken for unfriendly....but once they were comfortable, were quite fun to be around....Would you be comfortable breaking the ice?? Perhaps just introducing yourself and asking them about themselves (most people love to talk about themselves!!) Just a thought.

In any case...my best wishes to you!

I would definitely contact your doctor and ask about the pain. I have learned through my recent medical problems that you've got to be a bit forceful and proactive for yourself when it comes to your health.

It could be the bile duct causing pain. Sometimes a small stone can slip in there from the gall bladder while you still have it and cause a similar pain intermittantly.

Why don't you ask your office mates to introduce you to the new people when they come in to chat?

It is possible that a stone may have been missed in the duct. An MRI should show if there is still as tone there. It does happen. Be forceful with the Docs and don;t let them dismiss you. I am sorry about the work situation. I hope thingas turn around for you soon. You are in my prayers!Smile
